finer details

Drinks/BYOB…most important things first!
Table wine, prosecco, beer/cider and a few mixers (tonic etc) will be provided. There will be a BYOB gin/spirits bar for the evening…
How will this work?
Simply bring a bottle of your favourite tipple and/or mixer that you’re happy to share amongst our guests and leave it at the bar for everyone to help themselves to throughout the evening. You don’t have to stick to the drink you bought, sharing is caring after all! If you’d like to contribute something to the bar, please drop it to the ‘drink drop’ at the marquee anytime after the ceremony.

Dress code: Smart/casual
Please wear whatever makes you happy! Keep in mind, our wedding reception is taking place in a marquee on a rugged Cornish cliff top in Spring, so we recommend you bring a pair of comfy shoes suitable for grass, uneven footpaths, outdoor games and lots of dancing! It could be hot, cold, wet, windy (or all of the above!) so be prepared for the great Cornish weather.

Transport/Parking:
There will be plenty of parking available in a field close to the church and reception, so no need to drive again after the ceremony. You are welcome to leave cars here overnight and collect in the morning if required. There is however, very limited street/road parking in the village. Please look out for our wedding signs as you pull into the village and avoid parking in front of the church.

Taxis
Morvah is a small, remote village in the far west of Cornwall. It is a 15-20 minute drive from the neighbouring towns of Penzance, St Ives and St Just and a 5-10 min drive from the villages of Pendeen and Zennor. For those staying in nearby towns/villages here is a list of local taxi companies. We suggest booking well in advance due to the remote location and popular weekend…Uber does not operate “down these parts!”. Please also be mindful of the locals in the village when leaving the party, people live here for its peace and tranquillity!

Penzance Taxi’s: 01736 888888 or www.pztaxi.com
St Just Cars: 01736786586
Logan Rock Cars: 01736 871786
A1 Cars St Ives: 01736 797700

Children:
Due to there being limited space in the church and marquee and both having large families we regretfully are unable to cater for everyone’s children. Please stick to the names on your invites but reach out to us if this poses any difficulty.

Dietary Requirements:
We are having a vegetarian buffet with a few choices on the day – sorry meat lovers (Jonty)!  Please just let us know if you have any allergies using the RSVP message box or message us directly (our contact information is on the website).

Directions:
Postcode for Google maps: (or click the ‘see location’ link on the homepage) TR20 8YT

Coming from Penzance (A30):
Follow the A30 all the way to the Heamoor roundabout, take a right (4th exit) onto Madron road/B3312, continue through the village of Madron and up over the moors passing a number of ancient ruins and famous burial sites for approx 15 mins. Following signs for Morvah, slight left at the fork and as you reach the brow of the hill before you descend you will see the village, church and ocean below – head down to the party.

Coming from St Ives:
Head southwest on the B3306 signposted for Zennor and continue along one of the most scenic coast roads in Cornwall for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the village of Morvah on your right. Enjoy… this drive is our favourite!

Coming from Sennen/St Just/Pendeen:
From Sennen Cove follow the A30 for approx 1 mile, turn left onto the B3306 and follow this road past Land’s End airport, through the villages of St Just and Pendeen and continue towards St Ives until you come into the village of Morvah. Take the second left (on the other side of the village) and follow wedding signs to the parking field.
